MRI and Honest Buildings: Improve Project Performance With Two-Way Integration

Honest Buildings and MRI are providing a first-of-its-kind two-way integration. Clients using MRI’s flagship property management and accounting platform in conjunction with Honest Buildings experience better workflows that help drive the growth and health of their businesses.

We began our partnership 3 years ago, building out API integrations facilitating seamless information sharing and transparency. Our relationship includes an elevated commitment from both MRI and Honest Buildings to support, and enhance workflows between the two systems enabling optimized project performance.

Why Integrate?

We recently hosted a webinar with partner MRI Software and invited a satisfied customer utilizing two-way integration to share his organization’s experience.

MRI 2-way integration-1

“Open and connected” workflows speak to an elevated commitment from both providers to customers, who made it clear that they wanted integration for several reasons. Non-integrated systems leave gaps in their tech stacks, inaccessible data insights, and siloed information, forcing manual execution of projects, heavy data entry, and static forecasting.

By comparison, best in class technology, transparent and accessible aggregated data create a single source of truth. Two-way integration streamlines project execution and data transfer, encourages enterprise-wide data-driven forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making.

Centralizing information and access across platforms and teams fosters greater collaboration with reliable information.

The Players

Founded in 1971, MRI Software established itself as a leader in the real estate industry building long-term relationships based on insight and expertise.

"Furthering our mission to provide a single experience for MRI clients, this preferred partnership with Honest Buildings extends our open and connected approach, facilitating not only integrations but rethinking how our products can work better together...Ensuring data integrity across both systems will provide even more visibility and automation for our clients."

New call-to-action

In the words of CEO & Co-Founder Riggs Kubiak,

"We see the future of real estate technology being built upon an open and connected ecosystem that allows owners the freedom to harness best-in-class platforms and have them work effortlessly with their existing technology solutions...Asset managers, project managers, and property managers can be driving project performance within Honest Buildings with real-time connectivity to their accounting data."

Purpose-built technology has grown far beyond competitive advantage; it is a lever for the numerous ways it improves operational efficiencies,  through automation, performance measurement in real time, giving decision-makers greater visibility and control to achieve consistency in on-time and on budget delivery throughout the lifecycle of all assets.

What do Customers Think?

We had the opportunity to hear from a customer, Warren Adair, VP of Information Technology at Donahue Schriber, about his experience with integration and the success it has driven.

Donahue Schriber’s website reads, “We Know Retail.” Owner and operator of high-quality shopping centers on the West coast, they’ve collaborated with MRI for decades. Attending a Realcomm conference, Warren first heard of Honest Buildings and thought the platform might fill gaps in their tech stack.

They had critical needs -- technology that seamlessly integrated into their existing framework AND that added value. Honest Buildings’ platform provided owner-focused, project lifecycle visibility, spoke the language of their construction and project management teams.

The Outcome?

Two-way integration tied construction-focused applications and project data into existing systems without adding additional labor. Donahue Schriber had multiple touch-points where integrated systems shared information. One of the many positive outcomes was greater efficiency and an environment better suited to collaboration. The organization made a commitment to automation to ensure efficiencies going forward, and it is an investment which, in their opinion, is paying dividends.
